Black Coffee is one-part cultural installation, and one-part coffee shop experience. Once inside you can explore the #BlackAtWork experience, discover the richness of Black culture and the reality that Black people face to be more palatable in the workplace, all while showing support to Black-owned businesses / artists featured in this lobby space. The team challenged everyone to appreciate the deep, rich stories of Black culture, Black people and everyday blackness in its essence. As they exited, coffee in hand, we hoped that they were inspired to uplift those who exist unapologetically.

THE EXPERIENCE
Many Black people feel like they must add a little sweetness and be a little less bold to cater to the palate of corporate America. But Black Coffee rejects the notion that there must be a change to fit in, and celebrates every flavor and every note of the full-bodied Black experience. Walls decorated with charitable donuts, self-served coffee stations and live performances.

SOCIAL EXPERIENCE
Extending to the feed, our captions posed the questions and we got responses in the comments sections, as well as using IG stories that served as a 24/7 online coffee shop, complete with our own diverse emojis to encourage discussions around the use of skin tone and “digital Blackface.” We sparked conversations and shared DM responses anonymously to our followers, giving them a place to voice their experiences and the issues most important to them.
PROGRAMMING FLYERS
